When I ran for office, I ran on a platform of putting people first. Now that I’m in office, I’ve kept that promise by organizing time in my schedule so I can talk with my constituents face-to-face about the issues they are facing. Being able to meet with Athens-Clarke and Oconee residents is invaluable to me as I work to best represent the interests of my district. Even if we don’t always agree, we can discuss important issues of the day in a respectful way. Honest and open communication between elected officials and the citizens they represent is the only way to find solutions to the problems facing our nation, and as long as I have the privilege to serve Georgia’s 119th Congressional District, I will continue to provide my constituents with an opportunity and a forum to respectfully express their views and offer their ideas. Don’t hesitate to stop by!
If you’d like to meet and discuss your issue in person, you can meet me on Wednesday from 5-6pm at World Famous in downtown Athens. World Famous is located at 351 N. Hull St. Athens, Ga. 30601.
Or, we can meet in person Thursday mornings from 8-9am at Jittery Joe’s in downtown Watkinsville located at 27 Greensboro Hwy, Watkinsville, Ga. 30677
You may also join our Twitter townhall hosted the second Thursday of the month at 8pm.
