DESCRIPTION:The first forum is organized by The Oconee Enterprise and hosted by the University of North Georgia Oconee’s American Democracy Project. \nIt will take place in room 522 of the college campus. \nBoard of Education candidates will speak for the first 40 minutes\, with the remaining time for candidates for the state House of Representatives and Senate. For the BOE\, incumbent Amy Parrish and challenger Andrea Wellnitz are running for Post 2 while incumbent Kim Argo and challenger Fran Thompson are running for Post 3. \nGeorgia Senate District 46 is contested between incumbent Bill Cowsert and Democrat Marisue Hilliard. House District 117 is contested between incumbent Deborah Gonzalez and Republican Houston Gaines.
